Yes, untreated sewage had been released into sea from an overflow outlet about 2 km east of the monitoring beach Bakkavik. Usually sewage is only released from the outlet in heavy rain. Due to malfunction the sewage had been released almost constantly for at least 3 weeks prior to the monitoring of Bakkavik beach in 10th July. Shortly after the overflow outlet was repaired.
