The beach stretch has been monitored in two parts during the last 3 years (2016-2018) to determine the differences between the number of litter on the 100 m stretch and the 135 m stretch (before 2016). The results showed that the 35 extra meter beach stretch add on average 4% more litter items. This is considered as an acceptable error. No correction of data has therefore been made on data before 2016. From the spring of 2019, the measurement will be carried out only on the 100 m long stretch. RANGE 1: 0 - 100 m The counting is based on two replicas of 1 meter. The entire route was first picked on large visible objects. The total amount of litter was calculated by multiplying the mean values of the replicates within each part distance with length of part. Then the quantities in the sub-sections were added to the total number of large litter which was first picked along the entire stretch.
