First, all large visible litter along the entire stretch was counted. Then two transects, one meter wide, were made from the middle waterline to the upper part of the shore. In the transects, everything small and things that were hidden in the seaweed wall were counted. The result from the transects was recalculated to 100 m. Total amount of litter was calculated by summing all the large visible with what was calculated in the transects.
Did you find any stranded or dead animals? 
No
Were there any circumstances that influenced the survey? 
Litter from the old seaweed dike that was not removed in April may have affected the result, but probably not because the old seaweed dike was higher up on the beach and was clearly separated from the new dike that lay further down, closer to the water.
Were there any events that lead to unusual types and/or amounts of litter? 
No
