Please describe the animal or note the species name if known: 
Young sea bird possibly a gannet or cormorant. SSPCA informed and removed it from the beach. Volunteer stayed with the bird untill SSPCA arrived. |
Were there any circumstances that influenced the survey? 
Beach very clean. Still being cleaned by local council (mechanically) once a week. On pre-clean beach walk at 10am no hazards seen. By end of clean at 12am, there were 3 bags of dog poo and one pile recorded on beach. What does that say? / The weather was quite warm and still for the 7 days prior to the clean. Likewise there was little wave movement, more a gentle swell but some quite high and low tides. 6.2 to 0.2
