People walking on the beach sometimes remove some litter items, but this will be approximately the same amount each year.
Were there any events that lead to unusual types and/or amounts of litter? 
Wind from the East has been observed more often during the last couple of years than before (prevailing wind in "normal years" comes from North West). This has resulted in less litter than usual.
